Custom Fields Overview

Custom Fields is a configuration tool enabling you to manage fields across your site. These fields can be accessed and managed in the Admin section which is restricted to Admin Users only.

You can create new data types as free-type fields, dropdown lists, mulit-select lists, subgroup categories and even linking existing data to feature in other parts of the site.

Functionality of fields

Our variety of field types each have its own unique treatment. However, all field types share some core functionality.

Field Names: Each field has a name value, which is by default used as the label displayed on the site.
Group Field Names: Each group field has a name value, which is by default used as the grouped label displayed on the site.

Make Fields Required: This can be used with any field. An asterisk is added next to the field to indicate it’s required. The system will not allow you to skip this field unless filled in.

Provide Text Localization: This can be used with any field. This allows you to add a translation of the field label for the different supported languages.

Show Field as Column in List: Adds the field to the main screen data table. This option is limited to certain field types.

Filter by this Field in List: Works in conjunction with Show Field as Column in List and is limited to Radio Buttons only.

(New) Retail Media: - Range, Booking Forms

What Field Types can I create?

Text (Free type)	Standard text input
Multi-line text (Free type)	Text input over multiple lines
Email	Email input with email validation
Date	Date input with date validation (US format)
Toggle	Toggle on and off feature
Number	Standard numeric value input
Single-select dropdown	Multiple choice dropdown as single select
Multi-select dropdown	Multiple choice dropdown as multi-select
Checkbox	Checkbox lists
Radio buttons	Radio button list
Relationship	The ability to link existing data to other parts of the system
Image upload	Basic image uploader. Supports JPG, PNG & PDF
Document upload	Advanced Image uploader. Supports JPG, PNG & PDF
Attachments	Attaching files with ability to download all (export)
Assign Features	The ability to link Features to a data object
Assign Elements	The ability to link Elements to a data object
Category	The ability to link to data object category / tag
