Admin: Full Access
Custom Fields are a configuration tool that lets you manage and extend data across your Colateral site. These fields are managed in the Admin section and are accessible only to Admin Users.
With Custom Fields, you can create new data types including:
Free-type text fields
Dropdown lists (single- and multi-select)
Subgroup categories
Relationships linking existing data
Specialised fields such as schedules, images, attachments, and features
These fields can be deployed across multiple areas of the platform, including:
Items
Elements
Suppliers
Assets
Campaigns
Locations
Artwork Briefs
Range
Bookings
All Custom Fields share some core functionality:
Field Names: Each field has a name used as its label by default.
Group Field Names: This is the displayed grouped label.
Make Fields Required: Add an asterisk to indicate as a required field. The system will prevent saving without filling it in.
Text Localisation: Add translations for supported languages.
Show Field as Column in List: Add the field to list view tables (limited to certain field types).
Filter by this Field in List: Works with radio buttons and ‘Show Field as Column in List’.
