General Guidelines

Your template needs to be compliant for QuarkXPress

TAGGING FOR AUTOMATION

While tagging the boxes for automation, make sure to use InDesign’s layers palette to name the boxes.

Note: Group box naming is not supported for automation

TEMPLATE DOCUMENT FORMAT

The document should be saved as IDML and not as INDD before uploading it to Colateral.

TEXT BOX FITTING

Although QuarkXPress converts the IDML text into QuarkXPress text with precision, but still because of the difference between the proprietary properties of some text units such as leading etc., the conversion may not be 100% accurate.

So, try to have some extra space in the box to compensate for any overflows.

FRAME STYLES

Alternate: Try to avoid using paste into functionality. But in case you want to use grouped objects within the clipped box, then generate an image of the grouped objects and paste/import them into the clipped box.

  • Inner Shadow
